    Asharqia Chamber is organizing the "Environment Forum 2020 ... Toward a Sustainable Health Environment" at the end of this September​

    The Environment Forum 2020 ... Towards a sustainable healthy environment, organized by Asharqia Chamber on Monday 28 / September / 2020 corresponding to 11 / Safar / 1442, discusses a number of issues related to environmental health and the development of this concept and new in this regard, with the distinguished participation of a number of experts Among them are officials directly related to this matter.​

    The Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Abdul-Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, explained that the forum, which is held under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, "(via video call) reflects the Asharqia Chamber's keenness on this vital and important topic when the theme of the environment is of importance to public life, and to the economy in particular.​

    Al-Khalidi clarified that the forum will witness the participation of a number of experts and specialists in environmental, desertification, and wildlife issues, among them official government officials concerned with this matter. Noting that the issue of the environment is one of the important topics, not only at the local level but rather a global issue that is being discussed. Governments, institutions, and international organizations, by virtue of their direct relationship to human health and life.

    Al-Khalidi praised the official sponsorship of this event by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, who made us accustomed to his keenness and follow-up on these activities, which reflects His Highness’s interest in all the Chamber’s activities and the activities of the private sector .. Pointing to the interaction of the rest of the government agencies concerned. These include the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture represented by its branch in the Eastern Province, as well as the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection, the National Center for Wildlife Development, and the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification.

    For this part, The Chairman of the Environment Committee of the Asharqia Chamber, Talal bin Sultan Al-Rasheed, said that the forum will be held in three sessions, (an opening session and two dialogue sessions). During the opening session, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince of the Eastern Province, will speak during the opening session. The first dialogue session "The role of laws and legislations in environmental sustainability", while the second part deals with the issue of "desertification and means of combating it, enhancing wildlife and its impact on preserving the environment."

     The first session, the participants in the forum will discuss several topics, the most prominent of which are: “Environmental legislation and its impact on environmental sustainability, environmental agreements at the international level, the reality and prospects of environmental systems in the Kingdom, the development of environmental systems in the Kingdom, the effect of applying environmental regulations on the private sector, The impact of the Corona crisis on the environment sector. The session will be chaired by the Chairman of the Environment Committee of the Asharqia Chamber, Talal bin Sultan Al-Rasheed.

    As for the second session, the forum deals with “the mechanisms and applications of the national environment strategy, the concept of desertification, the demonstration and the mechanisms of dealing with it,” in addition to “the Kingdom's experience in developing wildlife.” During this session, the CEO of the National Center for Wildlife Development, Dr. Muhammad bin Ali will speak Dr. Kurban, and the CEO of the National Center for the Development of Vegetation Cover and Combating Desertification, Dr. Khaled Al-Abdullah Al-Abd Al-Qadir. This session is chaired by the Coordinator of the Environmental Science Committee in the Former Earth Sciences Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.​
